The Notre Dame Alumnae Association hosted their fourth annual Career Day on January 13. Chairperson Judy Lanini, along with her committee members: Cindy (Feifsteck ’79) Rybkowski, Linda (Roberti ‘81) Bacigalupi, and Renee Forrest ‘89 received an outpouring of response from alumnae who were interested in coming back to Notre Dame and sharing their careers with the student body.
The six speakers, chosen by the committee, were Kelly Violini ’88, CEO and Director of Monterey County Fair; Sara Ruiz ‘01, Research Scientist for the Department of Defense; Leslie Davis ‘96, Assistant Director of Exibitor Services for Freeman; Jessica Barragan ‘95, owner of Truly Madly Fit and fitness/wellness coach; Carissa (Shubin ‘93) Edeza, principal at Gavilan Middle School; and Christine Collins ‘93, owner of Dad’s Kitchen in Sacramento.
This year’s theme seemed to be the journey each of them took as they pursued their careers. “It was interesting to hear each speaker explain her journey, and it gave me hope that even though I might change my mind one million times, I will end up right where I am supposed to be” said Nina Anderson, senior and ASB President.
