Commencement is defined as the beginning of something new.  Members of the Class of 2011 got to feel the sense of the word rather than the paper definition on June 5th, as they began their new life as high school graduates.

Prior to the ceremony beginning Alumnae Association board members presented each graduate with an engraved pin to be worn on their graduation gowns. The pin symbolizes their induction into the Alumnae Association.
